Course Outline
The emphasis is lets do the fundamental basics in camera. Wether shooting film or digital the craft
of photography is in the minds eye. The use of being able to see a photograph before you take it
needs some honing of skill, you may be a superstar on post process but the essence of photography
is to get it right in the first place, a skill that is defiantly disappearing as digital capture moves
forward.

Lewis will be on hand for the day as you photograph the stunning beauty of the Brecon Beacons
National Park, from the limestone country of the waterfall region to the tall hills of the Black
Mountains. Lewis will take you to a number of photographic icons in the park showcasing how to
use your camera to it full capabilities. Living in the national park and being an ambassador of the

BBNP there is no one better to guide you around this stunning location.

If its coastal imagery that you are looking for then the Gower or east Pembrokeshire is the location
we shall visit. Wales is renowned for its Pristine beaches and beautiful coastlines with small villages

such as The Mumbles, Rhosilli, Wiseman s Bridge and Saunders-foot.

Other locations can be visited but at additional cost for accommodation and travel, if it is something
that you are interested in then please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we will be happy to discuss

your ideas.

The courses that are offered are for all entry level photographers up to any standard. The
photography courses are aimed at improving your skill sets, this may be landscape photography,
wildlife photography and travel photography. Most importantly its about enjoying the days
workshop wether it is a 1-2-1 or in a small group. Groups of 5 on Lewis’s workshops are maximum.
This allows Lewis to give as much tuition needed to each member of the workshop.
During the photography workshop we shall cover a number of aspects of photography from,
composition, meter reading, ISO and histogram, lenses, filters, tripods and much more. You will
also download from our website an itinerary of the days workshop and what to look forward too.

What you need to bring.

Depending on what photography workshop you are attending can determine what to bring. However
it is always good to cover all bases so that you can get the maximum from the course. Also if you
have any work in print that you would like critiqued during the break period you are more than
welcome to bring a couple of pieces. A pen and pad is always a good thing as you can pen down any
information you may need to use as references. If you need any more information please feel free to

contact Lewis prior to the workshop.

Good clothing and footwear is always ideal as you don’t know how the conditions may change
during the day. Comfort will make you work better during the course. Depending on the time of
year, sunscreen and a hat is also advisable.
