Born Of Fire Collection

This body of worked was themed on mans destruction of the landscape and natures will to return. During the end of winter a vast area of land was on fire. I was not sure if this was man made or if a natural occurrence had happened creating these small walls of fire swallowing up the ground.

Three months later a rejuvenated environment of rich colour with foxgloves could be viewed, but alongside or behind fallen trees burnt by these fires could be noticed. I found this a baffling view of chaos, I am also not sure on how I feel about whether this is man made or has nature had its way, as man may have had the intention to start the fires in the fist place.

These fine art images were all taken on a large format camera with slide and negative films, producing different colour casts suited for the times of day they had been captured.
